General plan

This is a colour coded plan that I came up with based on the beat and tempo changes in the song that co-ordinates certain shots with lyrics

Rejected idea

I came up with the idea of filming my main character as planned but also filming a younger version of him with his mother, both timelines walking the same route and interwoven through editing. The implication would be that he killed his mother because she’s not with him and he has someones blood on his hands. Although i like this idea I think it would be too mellow and would give the video and audio a disjointed tone. In my music video the aggressive tone will be mainly carried by the actors performance and so by losing that in having a child and mother actor i don’t think the idea would work.

Summary

• Fast paced editing – this would fit with the songs rock vibe
• Blood on hands to tie in with collecting souls across the album
• Hand held camera – feel him being watched and followed by not only law enforcement but also the metaphorical guilt of murdering
• Follow him from a side street walking to the under pass up the stairs and the running towards the edge of the car park
• THE ACTOR WILL NOT JUMP OVER THE WALL OR GET THAT CLOSE TO IT WE WILL USE CLOSE UPS TO MASK HOW FAR AWAY HE IS FROM THE WALL AND CUT TO BLACK BEFORE HE IS SHOWN JUMPING
